Job Description:
We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst with at least 6+ years of experience and Retail domain experience. This resource needs to have strong data related project experience and experience with SQL, SSRS, and SSIS.
looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a highly motivated development team focused on delivering results for there main internal applications. This person will support their sales/marketing and Logistics group that helps drive and grow through their business applications listed below. This is a new position built to allow this person to learn their systems and become of an SME in order to support the users of these key groups as new features are released.
Applications List:
- Synergy is an application that the sales team uses to capture data when they make store visits. The sales team visits stores (8-10 stores/day) and use the Synergy application to capture data related to what they see in the store.
- second application is used to process promotional payments for customers - customers that buy our cigarettes get incentives. This app processes those incentives monthly.
- Lastly, we have an app called OrderEntry for the inbound sales team to take orders from our customers.
Top Desired Skills:
- Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise business applications development and support.
- Experience building SQL queries to retrieve data as well as using SSRS/SSIS for report creation.
- Experience working with end users, supporting their application needs and providing the users assistance when new features are implemented.
- Any experience with Microsoft Dynamics, MS Azure or Microsoft Power Platform would be a big plus, not required.
Position Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
- Provide full service and support for the assigned business applications, related processes, and software areas.
- Provide training, and documentation as needed for end users
- Gather, compile, and interpret information regarding business changes, summarize and recommend appropriate course of action, and then implement approved solutions
- Translate business requirements into appropriate system development form and write supporting technical documentation
- Assist with deployment, configuration, and maintenance of custom and COTS software applications.
- Design, Develop and Deploy customizations for Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O module according to achieve defined business goals
- Continuous learning of the technology followed by Microsoft Dynamics certification(s)
- Establish and maintain project plans, and manage projects to plans
Knowledge /Ability:
- 5-10+ years of experience supporting and maintaining enterprise business applications development and support
- Aptitude for business systems, process orientation, guiding users to successful implementation of changes
- Flexible and adaptable regarding learning and understanding modern technologies
- Proficient in documenting systems and processes
- Communicate clearly orally and in writing with all levels
- Experience working and collaborating in a team environment
Technical Skills
- Practical experience creating reports using SQL Reporting Services (SSRS).
- Practical experience building/maintaining ETL packages using SQL Integration Services (SSIS) and/or Azure Data Factory (ADF) framework.
Additional:
will be implementing Microsoft Dynamics in January, while this individual is not required to have, but nice to have exposure to these technologies.
- Experience managing and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O module
- Practical experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power BI, Power Apps Portal) is a plus.
