Senior Business Intelligence Analyst - Northern Neck Insurance

The BI Analyst’s responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and maintaining data sets to improve our products, services, and business decisions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data analysis, data management tools, and databases. Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are crucial for this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage BI solutions that provide actionable insights into key business performance metrics.

• Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver comprehensive data reports and visualizations.

• Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends and opportunities in the insurance sector.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making processes.

• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures.

• Develop policies and procedures for the collection and analysis of data. Ensure data security principles are followed.

• Stay abreast of industry developments and adjust BI strategies accordingly.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Structured Query Language for managing databases.

• Expertise in spreadsheet tools like Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis.

• Data Visualization: Ability to present data findings through graphics or illustrations to facilitate understanding.

• Critical Thinking: The ability to think critically and evaluate information to make informed decisions.

• Strong communication skills to convey complex data insights in a clear and effective manner to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

• Aptitude for identifying problems and devising effective solutions based on data analysis.

• Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to data management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.

• Proficiency in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., PowerBI)

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a BI role, preferably within the insurance industry.

• Data migration experience.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively share insights and influence decision-making.

• Knowledge of the insurance industry’s standards and regulations is highly desirable.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $122,846.00 per year
