Position Overview
Pantheon Data is currently seeking a Business System Project Manager. The Project Manager will play a key role in leading and supporting Navy HR systems projects, focusing on IT controls audits, assessments, remediation, and other internal control tasks. The position is centered around coordinating and overseeing the effective execution of projects, ensuring compliance with FISCAM standards, and delivering strategic business process transformations. This role is ideal for project management professionals with experience in IT systems and risk management who are adept at working closely with clients and stakeholders to deliver project objectives on time and within scope.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to Navy HR systems, including IT control assessments, system audits, and remediation efforts.
- Collaborate with clients to assess project requirements, risks, and objectives, ensuring alignment with FISCAM and other federal information assurance regulations.
- Conduct project meetings, walkthroughs, and reviews with system personnel, stakeholders, and senior leadership to monitor progress, review security plans, configurations, and interfaces.
- Document project milestones, progress, and key decisions, and communicate findings and updates to stakeholders, including senior leadership.
- Develop project plans, schedules, and risk management strategies to guide IT controls and audit initiatives from inception to completion.
- Manage and track remediation plans and provide subject matter expertise on IT controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
- Provide strategic guidance to clients on modernizing and transforming Navy HR systems, including roadmap development and long-term process improvements.
Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in project management, IT controls, audit, assessment, and/or remediation.
- Strong understanding of IT risk management, control frameworks (e.g., FISCAM, OMB Circular A-123), and relevant federal regulations, especially in military or civilian pay systems.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT control assessments, audits, and remediation projects.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills with a track record of managing stakeholders and delivering project results.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Two to three years of consulting experience working for a government contractor.
- Experience with DoD Pay and Personnel business processes and systems.
- CPA, CISA, CISSP certification is preferred.
- Experience in IT audit and business process application control environments a plus.
- Bachelors of Science in Accounting, Information Technology, or related field.
Clearance Requirements 
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance. 
Work Location 
- Remote or Hybrid to Arlington, VA 
Compensation 
- The salary range for this position is $115,000-$175,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
