About the Job
Speaks Law Firm is looking for a highly motivated and organized Senior Paralegal who can assist our growing team in Charlotte, by taking it to the next level. We are headquartered in Wilmington, NC and have a team of attorneys and legal support in Charlotte. Candidates must have a minimum of three (3) years of case management experience specific to personal injury and a minimum of (2) years of supervisory experience. This position will report to our Charlotte office and hours of work are Mon-Fri 8:30-5:30.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Maintain effective communication with attorneys, clients, insurance adjusters, and other professionals
- Demonstrate key performance indicators and drive tasks to completion with minimal supervisory oversight
- Maintain updated lien and balance information in assigned files
- Communicate with insurance and health adjusters regarding demand packages, policies, liens, and payment logs
- Verify client’s insurance coverage and how coverages apply
- Request and review client documents including medical records, bills, and health insurance liens
- Understand subrogation and rule 414 payment/adjustments to review liens and balance sheets for accuracy
- Conduct routine client contact regarding case updates, treatment, coverage investigations, etc.
- Supervise a pre litigation team of four case managers, two legal assistants, and one balance clerk
- Complete systematic file review of demand packages prepared by your team
- Manage file count and file rotation within your team
- Provide consistent support and timely resolution of file issues within your team
- Complete biweekly 1:1 meetings with your team
- Ensure goal and KPI reporting in Performyard
- Track medical management, demand production, and case count of your team
- Associate's degree or higher preferred
- Paralegal Certificate a plus
- Must be able to work on-site from 8:30am to 5:30pm
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with senior leaders, clients and staff
- Understand legal language and principles, and other related processes
- Needles/Neos case management software experience a plus
The is a non-exempt salary position. Base salary starts at $55,000 annually and depends on experience and qualifications.
