As a Senior CCTV Field Engineer you will report to the Colorado Operations Manager and will be an early and crucial member of our growing operations team. You will be responsible for:
- Executing all phases of the installation and configuration of residential and commercial CCTV and intrusion systems
- Ensuring projects are completed on-time and within budget
- Coordinating with clients to install systems on-site
- Oversee and lead job site organization
- verifying the team has the necessary equipment to complete the installation
- delegating tasks
- clarifying instructions
- maintaining a safe, neat, and tidy work environment
- Pull, Terminate and test data (cat5/6) cables from pull point back to IDF closet, ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations
- Analyze blueprints, floor plans, schematics, drawings, and cut sheets to connect cables and equipment safely and accurately
- Test and troubleshoot any issues and proactively identify solutions
- Consistently and accurately update customer records and provide detailed project notes
- Create a daily punch list of tasks that need to be completed and consistently communicate overall progress with the management team.
Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with commercial low voltage, CCTV systems
- Possess working knowledge of ANSI/EIA/TIA cabling standards and the National Electric Code
- Strong Computer skills and ability to understand and interact with LAN/WAN systems as a part of an overall system installation
- Working knowledge of test equipment such as multimeters, digital analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices
- Experience installing and programming electronic security devices and control panels a plus
