We’re searching for a Senior CFD/Thermal Analyst.In this role, you willWork within the Hardware Product Engineering group collaborating on requirements, design optimization, and fielding of complex hardware, specifically as it relates to analysisVerify hardware designs by utilizing CFD models using ANSYS simulation softwarePerform CFD analysis on various load cases assessing thermal design performance of sensors and computers.Complete a wide breadth of simulations from vehicle level models down to chip level designBaseline current hardware designs and iterate until they meet the criteriaCollaborate on multidisciplinary project teams balancing the numerous constraints on hardware designsDocument analysis results and provide the project team with directionCoordinate and perform validation tests along with the reliability team correlating to simulation resultsWork flexibly across the whole product development cycle with quick directional guidance as well as high fidelity rigorous simulationRequired QualificationsBachelor, Master, or Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineer, Aerospace, or related.  Detailed knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Conjugate Heat TransferDeep understanding of complex assemblies and proven ability to produce high fidelity resultsMaterials and Manufacturing process knowledgeAbility to own projects and be an independent self starterStrong technical documentation and communication of technical informationExperience with ANSYS CFD tools including Workbench, Fluent, SpaceClaim, and IcepakPhysical Testing and correlationUnderstanding of applicable environmental design requirementsDesirable Qualifications(this section is optional)Multiphysics simulation experience with ANSYS (FEA, FSI, Electromagnetics)Experience with electronics reliability and automotive industryExperience with thermal testingThe base salary range for this position is $156,000-$234,000 per year.  Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location
Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions
These ranges may be modified in the future
