We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the Manufacturing industry, where you will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing various construction projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for engineering and project management. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, with specific experience in AutoCAD, GDOT, Construction Documents, and Cost Estimates. This position requires at least 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the transportation engineering sector.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse range of civil engineering projects, from conceptual design through to completion.
- Utilize AutoCAD to create and modify detailed engineering designs and plans.
- Comply with GDOT regulations and standards in all project designs and implementations.
- Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including detailed drawings and specifications.
- Develop accurate cost estimates for all projects, ensuring all aspects of the project are accounted for.
- Oversee project execution, ensuring all works are carried out according to plan, on time, and within budget.
- Coordinate with various teams and stakeholders, including contractors, architects, and local authorities.
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with design plans and safety regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the project life cycle.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and other team members.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil engineering, specifically in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proven experience in project management, with a track record of successfully completed projects.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, GDOT, and other relevant software and systems.
- Extensive knowledge of construction documents and cost estimation.
- Experience as a Transportation Engineer is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Superior leadership and team management skills.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of industry laws and regulations, as well as health and safety standards.
