AECOM is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for our Indianapolis, IN office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Senior technical resource which will serve as technical advisor for team
• Provides specialized technical input to studies and design for staff's specific area of expertise.
• Develops study and design procedures to facilitate high quality cost effective work by others.
• Participates in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.
• Develops construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.
• Uses expertise in all steps of completing discipline component of PS&E package.
• Performs quality control review of design calculations or drawings.
• Prepares technical specification sections.
• Provides input to the development of engineering budget and schedule to meet requirements.
• Initiate and create project designs and drawings/plans for transportation and/or civil design projects
• Perform detailed design including preparation of complete calculation packages and development of details.
• Guide drafting team for preparation of drawings from early stages of the design to the final contract plans.
• Understand the importance of review and quality control and able to perform review of design calculations and drawings and specifications
• Prepare and contribute in the development and implementation of technical approach in projects in collaboration with the Project Manager
• Oversee the work of less experienced designers. 
• Meet with clients to ensure client needs are met

Minimum requirements:

• BSCE + 6 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 10+ years of related experience
• Licensed Professional Engineer in the state of Indiana or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire if current PE is out of state
• Computer skills using Microsoft office, HCS, Synchro, HISSM, AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred. Strong familiarity with InRoads a plus
• Extensive experience working within highway and roadway design.
• Prior experience working with the Indiana Department of Transportation is a plus
