Description
Permanent position for a Senior Civil Project Manager to provide oversight and approval of drawings for the field assembly of prefabricated modular steel bridge products and related products
Prepare customer approved calculations, drawings, field erection drawings, and bills of material using computer-aided-drafting (CAD) equipment and design software.
Oversee and prepare complete and precise customer approved and final certified calculations.
Work directly with clients in developing comprehensive solutions for bridging and shoring applications.
Review and approve drawings of low to high complexity for the field assembly of prefabricated modular steel bridge products and related products using customer specifications, engineer’s specific instruction, standard engineering drafting procedures and/or references to similar completed projects
Utilize knowledge of construction practices, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials and other physical sciences to complete drawings
Drawings may be dimensioned in either US Customary, Metric, or a combination of both units of measure.
Approve and/or prepare bills of material for drawings created.
Implement drawing modifications as necessary to comply and complete a portion of a specific project or for entire project assignment.
Develop and prepare installation and removal procedure and drawings.
Review work product for completeness and accuracy.
Preparation of Sales support documentation and materials.
Coordinates field support requirements with Company's Field Service Technicians and Project Managers.
Perform site inspections of installed bridges in preparation of issuance of Certificates of Compliance.
Understand and adhere to all Company's policies and applicable laws.
Travel to other Company's Locations or Customer Sites as necessary.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
BS Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 10 years industry experience in design-related discipline.
Professional License in one or more States or Province’s.
Experience with AutoCAD LT or Mechanical computer-aided-drafting (CAD) ver
2018 or higher software to prepare technical drawings in two-dimensional and three-dimensional views.
Experience with structural modeling software commonly used in the design of steel structures.
Ability to read and interpret structural and civil drawings supplied by customers.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction methods and practices.
Working knowledge of AASHTO and/or CSA S6 Bridge Code.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as spreadsheets, loading charts, product user manuals, and third-party supplier documentations.
Ability to partner with Consulting Engineers, DOT and/or MOT Engineers, Sales, and customers to ensure field drawings meets design requirements.
Strong understanding of drafting terminology, abbreviations, symbols, dimensioning techniques, and drafting procedures.
Ability to design components or portions of a product or improve the process to fabricate the product.
Ability to read, write, analyze, interpret, and develop project specifications, technical data, structural calculations, and structural and civil drawings.
Demonstrates the ability to present information and respond to questions.
Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks with minimal direction.
Demonstrates the ability to meet required project completion date.
Excellent communication, organization, decision making and problem-solving skills within a team-based environment.
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows to maintain drawings and files and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Autodesk Inventor experience highly preferred.
Lusas experience highly preferred.
