Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Commercial Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have 5-15 years of substantial experience in handling complex commercial litigation matters. As a senior member of our firm, you will play a key role in providing strategic guidance, managing cases, and representing clients in various commercial disputes.
Responsibilities:
1. Case Management: Manage a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters, including but not limited to breach of contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property disputes, and corporate litigation.
2. Legal Strategy: Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients, including conducting legal research, analyzing case law, and advising clients on their rights and options.
3. Client Representation: Represent clients in state and federal courts, as well as in alternative dispute resolution forums such as mediations and arbitrations. Prepare and present oral arguments, examine witnesses, and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
4. Legal Research and Writing: Conduct thorough legal research and draft various legal documents, including complaints, motions, briefs, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
5. Trial Preparation: Prepare for trials by conducting pre-trial investigations, gathering evidence, preparing witnesses, and developing trial strategies. Assist with all aspects of trial preparation and courtroom presentations.
6. Client Counseling: Provide strategic legal advice and counseling to clients on commercial litigation matters, including risk assessment, dispute resolution strategies, and potential outcomes.
7. Team Leadership: Mentor and supervise junior attorneys, paralegals, and support staff. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
8. Business Development: Contribute to business development efforts by networking with potential clients, attending industry events, and participating in marketing initiatives to expand the firm's client base.

- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active membership in good standing with the state bar association.
- 5-15 years of substantial experience in commercial litigation, preferably with a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution.
- Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively advocate for clients.
