We are looking for a Sr. Commercial Representative with experience in the natural gas or energy industry with a focus on sales and marketing in midstream and upstream sectors. This role will be located at our headquarters in Dallas.

SUMMARY
The Senior Commercial Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth through strategic sales and marketing initiatives, leading high-level negotiations, and managing relationships with upstream companies in the Permian Basin. This role emphasizes the development and execution of sales strategies, contract management, and market expansion efforts. The Senior Commercial Representative works independently to shape pricing models, enhance market visibility, and secure long-term business success.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sales Strategy Development - Design and implement sales strategies to target and engage upstream customers in the Permian Basin. Identify new business opportunities and create customized solutions that meet customer needs and company goals.
- Complete Sales Cycle Development – Engage or manage new or existing upstream customers to solicit RFPs, develop full economics (project and/or asset level) to present internally (including volume forecasts, gross margin, operational expenditures, capital expenditures, overhead, etc.), create proposals, manage and implement strategy to win the new business, manage the customer and internal project managers to implement the new or existing projects/assets, manage the new and/or existing volumes and contracts through final contract term
- Customer Acquisition and Retention - Develop sales pipelines and prospect new customers while maintaining strong relationships with existing upstream clients. Drive long-term business growth through sustained customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Marketing Campaigns - Create campaigns tailored to the upstream market. Develop materials, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate the company's value proposition to potential customers.
- Market Expansion - Identify and pursue new market segments within the Permian Basin. Create entry strategies for underserved regions or underutilized service offerings, ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Sales Targets and Forecasting Track sales performance targets. Provide accurate revenue forecasts and develop action plans to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Brand Representation - Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to increase brand visibility and attract new business. Ensure the company's image and messaging align with strategic marketing objectives.
- Sales Presentations - Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to key decision makers. Tailor presentations to highlight the benefits of the company's offerings for upstream companies, particularly within the Permian Basin.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - Maintain a detailed CRM database with up-to-date customer information, sales leads, and progress on deals. Use CRM data to enhance sales efforts, manage pipelines, and increase customer retention.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration - Collaborate with operations and finance to ensure that all commercial activities align with broader company objectives.
- Travel - Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time for customer meetings, sales pitches, industry conferences, and trade shows.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, Engineering, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5-7 years of commercial experience in the natural gas or energy industry, with a focus on sales and marketing in midstream and upstream sectors.
- Proven track record in developing and executing successful sales strategies and campaigns targeted at upstream customers, specifically in the Permian Basin.
- Extensive experience in contract negotiations, managing high-value sales pipelines, and achieving revenue growth in the natural gas industry.
Sales and Marketing Skills
- Strong understanding of upstream markets and the specific needs of Permian Basin customers.
- Experience developing targeted marketing materials and campaigns to attract and retain customers.
- Expertise in building and maintaining customer relationships, with a focus on long-term partnerships.
- Ability to source and lead customer meetings regarding complex technical solutions in the natural gas midstream sector.
- Proficiency in managing sales pipelines, forecasting, and hitting sales targets.
Technical Skills
- Advanced knowledge of natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in CRM systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and familiarity with energy management systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel abilities to seamlessly incorporate project level economics into the corporate economic model.
- Analytical Skills - Exceptional ability to analyze market trends, pricing data, and customer feedback to drive sales strategies.
- Communication Skills - Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting sales proposals to senior executives and decision-makers.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with market expansion and product development initiatives in the energy sector.
- Strong understanding of risk management related to supply chain, pricing, and regulatory changes.
