Position Overview





As the Senior Manager of Direct Sourcing at NCR Voyix, you will assume a pivotal role in building and managing commodity strategies and driving substantial business value. Your responsibilities encompass developing & leading commodity strategy development, strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiating contract terms, and managing key supplier relationships.




Reporting directly to the Director of Direct Sourcing, you will play a key role in delivering cost take-out and managing supply chain risk. Your expertise in understanding the commodity, market dynamics, stakeholder collaboration, and risk management will be crucial to success. By cultivating strong internal and external relationships, you will ensure effective communication and collaboration across all levels, contributing to the overall success of the NCR Voyix.





Roles & Responsibilities




+ Provide leadership in developing advanced commodity strategies and plans


+ Developing and managing a leading SRM approach that includes managing supplier performance and relationships to ensure the organization’s expectations are met


+ Develop, foster and promote relationships with internal functions; routinely discuss processes, policies, and benefits derived through the Procurement organization


+ Lead sourcing initiatives for continuous improvement


+ Ensuring continuity of supply and mitigating supply chain risk


+ Conduct ongoing reviews of commodities to measure and track performance and identify continuous improvement opportunities


+ Partner with multiple corporate functions (e.g., FP&A, Legal, Marketing, HR etc.) as part of your sourcing projects and related activities


+ The selected candidate will take ownership of projects and drive them to completion understanding that the results will have a strong impact on the department's objectives






Preferred Qualifications




+ 7+ years of experience in Commodity/Category Management with experience managing commodities such as PCBAs, metals, plastics, electro-mechanical components, and Contract Manufacturing / ODM management


+ Demonstrated capabilities of developing & implementing commodity strategies, leading sourcing projects, contract negotiations and authoring, and driving savings/value


+ Experience negotiating, writing contract language, and executing sourcing strategies for direct material commodities


+ Strong relationship-building, verbal and written communication, interpersonal, motivational, and influencing skills; coordination across related disciplines and with key stakeholders


+ Experience coordinating teams, collecting insights, and constructively challenge internal stakeholders with conventional thinking


+ Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing processes, sourcing tools, and strategies


+ Organized and adaptable with demonstrated ability to prioritize projects, meet deadlines, and deliver results


+ Demonstrated progression in career with increasing responsibilities, including experience leading project teams and resources


+ Comfortable with organizational change; able to thrive in a rapidly changing business environment
