Position Overview
The Senor Compliance Accountant will be responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, managing tax filings, and assisting with insurance-related tasks across all North American entities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee state registrations and other state filings for all North American entities.
- Maintain a comprehensive schedule of registration filings and deadlines to ensure timely compliance.
- Prepare and submit annual and quarterly census requests as required.
- Handle FBAR reporting for all applicable entities.
- Maintain a schedule of tax notices and ensure timely responses.
- Organize and manage tax filing schedules, including property tax filings and deadlines for select entities.
- Collaborate with Industrial Tax Consulting for property tax filings for select entities.
- Manage insurance renewal requests and assist with gathering necessary information for insurance audits.
- Investigate insurance liability coverage as needed for select entities.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and additional accounting tasks as required for select entities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting or compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal compliance regulations.
- Experience with tax filing processes and property tax regulations.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
- CPA or relevant certification is a plus.
- Experience with insurance audits or liability coverage investigations.
- Familiarity with Industrial Tax Consulting practices.
