About the Job
Our client is seeking a Senior Configuration Analyst to join their team, focusing on Configuration Management (CM) activities within a defense environment
In this role, you will independently and collaboratively manage changes to approved configurations using a systematic and measurable change process
Your responsibilities include delivering and maintaining the engineering technical data package (TDP), applying CM processes according to the CM Plan, and supporting configuration management and quality audits
You'll also develop solutions to moderate scope and complexity problems, communicating effectively with colleagues across departments.
Skills Required:
Proficiency in using a database for managing configuration data
Strong computer skills, particularly with the MS Office suite, for generating metrics, reports, and documents
Attention to detail, complemented by effective time management and organizational abilities
Sound interpersonal skills for coordinating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment
General knowledge of relevant configuration management and design engineering standards, including military standards MIL-HDBK-61A, MIL-STD-31000, industry CM standard EIA-649, and/or Drawing standards ASME Y14.24 and ASME Y14.100
Skills Preferred:
Formal training in Configuration Data Management (CDM)
Advanced user knowledge of MS Excel, including proficiency with complex formulas
Familiarity with CMMI requirements
Demonstrated research and presentation skills
Experience using Windchill to manage product data
Education Required:
Typically a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline and 4+ years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
