We are looking for a Senior Construction Engineer to work on a major infrastructure/transit construction projects located in all Boroughs of New York City. This position will be on-site and requires high level office engineering experience with minimal direction from the resident engineer. May manage one or more office engineers. The hired candidate will assist with all necessary activities to start, continue, and close-out this construction project.
Responsibilities:- Establish project filing system in accordance with client requirements and manage electronic filing system.
- Log and manage project submittals, RFI’s and correspondence.
- Create meeting agendas and minutes; distribute and file.
- Review and file project daily reports.
- Prepare monthly progress payments.
- Prepare change orders.
- Prepare weekly and monthly CCM progress reports
- Accurately track change order payments.
- Log and track material inspection, certification, and acceptance for the project.
- Coordinate with all other team members, clients, A.E teams and special Inspection teams.
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar A/E/C degree.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in the inspection and construction of transportation projects.
- Experience with NYCT, LIRR, MNR or other local NY transit agencies required.
- OSHA 30-hour safety course preferred.
- CMIT and Track Safety Training preferred.
