As a delivery-focused principal, your primary focus is to manage and deliver work at the highest of quality. Your experience within an area of expertise enables success in leading and structuring complex engagements. With clients, you create trusted, collaborative relationships by managing needs, expectations and the environment. Contributions to new business development focus on structuring the solution, pricing and establishing oneself as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) with internal colleagues and external clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Contribute to or lead delivery teams creating an atmosphere of trust, inclusion and collaboration to ensure successful outcomes
- Support less experienced consultants through mentoring and engagement-based development and coaching
- Develop and/or support engagement structure, plan, resource needs and definition of deliverables and outcomes
- Build productive relationships with engagement and client team members setting clear expectations, direction and asking for feedback when appropriate
- Identify opportunities to expand work within existing accounts
- Oversee and/or conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis, synthesize data into action-oriented insights and ensure quality and satisfaction of client deliverables
- Grow and manage knowledge of engagement economics to ensure accurate scope, margin and profitability of work
- Partner with internal KF functions to resource delivery talent, manage contract-to-cash activities, track profitability and ensure high quality delivery
- Apply operational discipline to all aspects of sales and delivery using internal systems and reporting
- Leverage firm resources to appropriately direct opportunities and/or questions.
- Grow knowledge of all KF LOB, solutions and markets
- Lead internal research projects or initiatives to expand and/or strengthen IP and solution relevance in the marketplace
Account Team Roles (where assigned)
- Work closely with the core delivery team to coach, mentor, support, influence and troubleshoot issues
- Manage client expectations through the delivery process balancing the need to delight the client and manage scope
- Manage client relationships for smaller workstreams where heavily imbedded as lead on the delivery team
Formal People Management (if applicable)
- Performance management: enable performance of direct reports, by providing role clarity, reviewing progress against expectations monthly, and jointly creating plans to improve performance
- Motivate direct reports through providing opportunity, getting to know strengths/weaknesses, coaching, and celebrating success
- Participate in talent management activities (e.g., selection, talent reviews, annual appraisals, promotion nominations etc)
Build the talent pipeline
- Coach, develop, and mentor talent by proactively identifying learning opportunities on the job
- Identify outstanding talent in the marketplace to join the firm
- Advance KF as a premier career destination - build future capacity for growth and impact by building people skills and employee engagement
Improve KF's reputation and overall performance
- Contribute to the firm's efficiency and effectiveness by participating in or leading internal improvement efforts
- Contribute to the firm's thought leadership, solution innovation or IP enhancement efforts

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 7+ years of relevant work experience in a top tier professional services firm and/or an internal function
- Depth of subject matter expertise and record of accomplishment delivering high-impact interventions internally/with clients leveraging this expertise
- Understand the leadership and organizational issues faced by business leaders, with ability to engage as a peer, act as a trusted advisor and place proposed services in their business situation or context
EDUCATION
- Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Graduate, Doctorate or equivalent) preferred

Salary Range
$90,000.00 - $105,000.00

Salary range represents the compensation Korn Ferry expects to pay to a candidate with the requirements for the job posted. Korn Ferry offers competitive compensation and benefits commensurate with experience.

Employees are eligible to receive a total of 15 days vacation annually plus paid time off for 16 company holidays. Full time eligible employees will accrue sick time commencing on the first date of employment at the rate of 3.33 hours per pay period for an annualized maximum of 80 hours.
