Job Description: As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in developing and implementing financial data models that empower clients to make sophisticated, evidence-based decisions. You will focus on streamlining data management processes, improving validation routines, and providing valuable insights based on risk analysis. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicate complex data-driven insights to client executives, and mentor junior team members to foster a culture of continuous improvement. In this position, you will also:
- Support team responsible for developing and implementing financial data modeling that allows clients to assess, manage, and deliver sophisticated, evidenced-based decision making
- Identify opportunities to streamline, automate and enhance data management practices, processes and validations / testing routines
- Clearly and concisely communicate (written and verbal) complex risk information and judgment to client executives
- Apply strategic thinking to ensure continuous improvement of financial models. Analyze data and data risk test results to identify risk trends and insights, frame the data risks in a way that resonates with the target audience and compels them to take action.
- Provide support to junior members of your team, including training, coaching and mentoring.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, statistics, mathematics, quantitative finance, or other related fields is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in data analysis, financial modeling, or a similar field, with a demonstrated ability to handle complex data sets and provide strategic insights.
- Demonstrated experience and expertise in financial modeling in single and commercial housing
- Proficiency with financial modeling tools, data analytics software (e.g., SQL, Python, R), and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong Machine Learning experience
Desired Skills:
- Prior experience at GSE or federal lending agencies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly written communication skills
- Self‐motivated, with the capability of managing multiple priorities and efficient in proposing solution
- Graduate degree with advanced studies/degree in economics/statistics/mathematics/quantitative finance or related fields preferred
At Blake Willson Group, we believe in transparency and fairness in compensation practices. For this position, we offer a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $150,000 in the United States. Your individual salary within this range will be determined by various factors, including but not limited to your education, experience, skills, and geographic location.
