Job Summary:
Join us in shaping the future of aviation! Objective Area Solutions (OAS) is seeking an experienced Senior Organization Development Consultant to support our team with administrative and procurement tasks. Our Ideal candidate will be proficient in planning, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of both current and planned operations. You will use advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to assess and improve the operational effectiveness of complex aviation operations, ensuring optimal performance in both current and future projects.
This role supports the Federal Aviation Administration, which is responsible for ensuring the safety of 45,000 flights and 3 million passengers traversing over 28 million miles of U.S. controlled airspace every day. In addition to providing air traffic control and safety oversight for civilian aviation, the FAA also works in lockstep with the Department of Defense and other government agencies to ensure the security of our nation. A key component of that coordination involves the collaborative use of aviation tools and data.
Key Responsibilities:
A successful candidate must have a minimum of 15 years of experience and be proficient in:
- Operational Analysis: Analyze and evaluate current and planned operational procedures to assess their effectiveness. Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Qualitative and Quantitative Analysis: Utilize qualitative and quantitative methods to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement. Analyze data trends, forecast future operational needs, and recommend process improvements.
- Study Methods & Techniques: Establish study methods and techniques for assessing the effectiveness of complex aviation operations and projects.
- Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in current operations and recommend changes to improve overall organizational performance.
- Reporting: Prepare and present detailed reports to stakeholders outlining findings, recommendations, and action plans for operational improvements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between operational strategies and overall business goals.
- Facilitation: Ability to facilitate stakeholder offsites, lead meetings from a facilitator perspective and apply a high degree of emotional intelligence in situations. This includes the ability to 'read the room', adjust approach, ask meaningful questions or reframe questions and lead groups of people to successful outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
- Strong interviewing and presentation skills
- Resident of the Washington DC Metro Area
- Eligible to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
- Experience working in the Federal Aviation Administration, and an understanding of the use of spectrum in aviation-related applications
Desired Qualifications:
- Masters in Organizational Development or Psychology
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma
- Familiarity with Confluence
- Completed ICF Accredited Coach Training Program (ACTP) or achieved ICF ACC or PCC credential
Work Requirements:
This is a hybrid position, which will require routine work from the main office in Vienna, VA and client locations in Washington, DC. That would require 10% or less of travel.
