Position Description
Origis Energy is looking for an experienced Senior Contracts Administrator to join our team reporting to the Vice President, Contracts. As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire contract lifecycle, driving the automation of workflows, and ensuring consistency across the company's contract approval process. In addition, you will streamline the execution, compliance, storage, and renewals of contracts. The Senior Contracts Administrator will collaborate with various departments and business units to unify processes, create, and update contract templates, and ensure the completeness and consistency of our contract database.
The Senior Contracts Administrator reports to the Vice President, Contracts and is a regular, full-time position, eligible for our generous employee benefits package, including employer paid health insurance, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employer matching contributions, and other great benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initiation to execution and closure, ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Assist Contract Managers with contract finalization, execution and storage.
- Contract Administration: Assist Contract and Project Managers with contract administration. Draft formal Notices and Change Orders and maintain status log of progress. Brief management on all open issues.
- Workflow Automation: Identify opportunities to automate contract-related workflows and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Template Creation and Maintenance: Develop and update contract templates, conduct monthly reviews with subject matter experts throughout the company incorporating lessons learned and evolving market requirements into our standard templates.
- Contract Database Management: Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date contract database, ensuring completeness, accuracy, and accessibility of contract records.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments and business units to understand their specific contract needs, provide guidance, and drive the adoption of consistent contract practices.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and legal issues in contracts, provide guidance to stakeholders, and work with legal counsel to ensure appropriate risk management strategies are implemented.
- Training and Education: Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate employees on contract management best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to contract management, and proactively propose improvements to enhance contract management processes and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Law, or a related field, para-legal certification, or 3-5 years of experience in supporting/managing contracts.
- Proven experience in contract management, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of contract lifecycle management principles and best practices.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements applicable to contract management.
- Experience in developing and implementing contract automation workflows and tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with contract management software LinkSquares is a plus.
- Some contract drafting skills are desirable, including preparing, completing, and reviewing online agreements based on standard templates.
