Company & Role:
Construction company is looking for a Senior Controller to add senior-level support on a divisional level. In this role, you will report to the Director of Accounting & Finance and have a team of about 3 direct reports to start. This role will be heavily focused on developing a team, improving processes, and working cross-departmental with project managers.
What will you do:
- Mentor junior finance staff to ensure compliance with operational policies and effective cost management.
- Oversee the preparation of contract status reports to evaluate the financial health of ongoing projects.
- Manage the reconciliation of AP, AR, cash, and purchase orders, along with regulatory tracking and vendor onboarding.
- Review and record monthly accounting entries to support financial transactions and consolidation processes.
- Conduct monthly profit and loss assessments to identify accrual needs and perform comparative analyses.
- Collaborate with division leadership on accounts receivable collections and support overall financial reporting and internal controls.
Who are they looking for:
- 3-5 years of prior Controllership or Assistant Controller experience.
- Experience in construction or manufacturing, with an emphasis on job costing or cost accounting.
- Familiarity with construction-related insurance, bonding, lien laws, and sales tax regulations is preferred.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
