Overview: Join team as a Controls Engineer II responsible for designing, implementing, and testing control systems. This role requires expertise in PLC programming, Allen Bradley equipment, and HMI development, with a focus on industrial controls within the architectural, engineering, or construction (AEC) industry.
Required Skills:
- 4 years Industrial Controls experience in AEC industry or similar field
- Bachelors Degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience
- 4 years of PLC programming experience
- Proficiency with Allen Bradley equipment and systems
- Experience in PLC Programming (ladder logic, function block, structured text)
- Familiarity with Ethernet/IP networking
- Experience with HMIs
- 6 years of experience in AEC industry or similar field
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Autodesk software
- Collaborate with project managers and estimators on project assessment and proposals.
- Develop control system architecture and communication strategy.
- Create BOMs, IO lists, and control panel requirements.
- Serve as technical lead for small projects, including PLC and HMI template development.
- Develop PLC programs and HMIs, write test plans, and conduct system testing.
- Prepare training materials and conduct training for operations and maintenance staff.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software and hardware issues during system startup.
- Train customers on system operation and software integration.
- Coordinate with installation team management to ensure project execution.
- Interface with software and application vendors for problem resolution.
