Salary:
$90,000-115,000 (Depending on experience)
Job Responsibilities
- Spearhead the design, programming, release, testing, installation, and start-up of complete control automation systems, upgrades, and drive system replacements for new and existing customers.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, serving as a lead technical resource and subject matter expert.
- Manage control and electrical designs, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to predefined milestones and schedules.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service, to resolve design-related issues and implement cost-reduction initiatives.
- Conduct root cause investigations, participate in solving manufacturing and design challenges, and implement continuous improvement strategies.
- Perform in-house controls testing, field installations, and start-ups, with up to 25% travel required (domestic and international).
- Integrate with New Product Development teams to introduce superior technology and coordinate control and electrical design requirements.
- Create and maintain software, procedures, and user manuals for Key Functional, Design Validation, and Production Validation tests.
- Prepare project status reports, analyze trends, and provide recommendations for action.
- Champion continuous improvement and quality assurance initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of industrial machine controls experience.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical controls, drives, servos, and PLC logic (Allen Bradley and Siemens).
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical.
- Excellent conceptual, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and electronic communication abilities, both internally and with customers.
- Proven ability to meet schedule timelines.
- Comprehensive understanding of NEC, NFPA 79, or UL 508A standards.
