The seniorcorporate accountant will handle the following responsibilities: * Prepare and deliver monthly financial reporting packages for assigned entities. * Maintain, review, and analyze all general ledger accounts. * Perform overall income statement and balance sheet analysis. * Assist senior accounting management with tax return review and compliance processes. * Oversee the accounting and operations for multiple private investment vehicles. * Assist with accounting and operations of private equity real estate funds. * Support senior manager in all investment fund accounting. * Analyze processes for improvement. Recommend and implement process changes where appropriate. * Prepare analyses to support annual financial statement audits and the preparation of tax returns. * Participate in special projects and prepare ad hoc reports as needed.QualificationsQualified candidates must possess the following: * Bachelor’s degree in accounting from a highly regarded undergraduate institution * Certified Public Accountant designation * 2+ years of experience in the tax or audit group of a large public accounting firm * Exposure to and familiarity with commercial real estate a plus * Strong familiarity with pass‐through accounting and tax matters * Proficient with MS Office software and experience with Yardi a plus. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate information succinctly and anticipate and resolve issues/problems on a proactive basis. * Ability to prioritize well and “manage up” to multiple managers. * Detail‐oriented, yet flexible, while operating in a dynamic environment with a focus on meeting deadlines. * Excellent collaborative skills to work in partnership with colleagues and across various departments. * High energy level, willing to take on new tasks and drive them to completion while working independently. * Strong work ethic with the highest degree of honesty, integrity, and discretion.CompensationMarket competitive salary as well as a performance‐based incentive.BenefitsSterling Bay offers a compensation package commensurate with experience.Work/life benefits include but are not limited to daily lunch provided by acorporate chef, access to on-site gym and shower rooms, participation in a 401Kplan, and a competitive healthcare package.Sterling Bay is an Equal Opportunity Employer
