Senior Corporate Accountant - West Metro Atlanta at Creative Financial Staffing

Seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant with a thorough knowledge of GAAP, full cycle accounting and FP&A in a new role due to growth for a multi-billion-dollar leader in its industry. This is a highly visible role that offers a strong path of progression in a growing company.

Responsibilities:
• Accounting department liaison for multiple departments - includes working closely with operations personnel to understand their business to effectively review their income statement for accuracy and completeness, preparation of ad hoc reports
• Financial statement preparation - internal and external financials, dashboard and key statistic reports
• Account reconciliations - daily and monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, correcting journal entries, preparation of supporting work papers for auditors
• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and forecasting
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving profitability and cost efficiency
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial objectives with overall business goals

Education and experience:
• Bachelor's degree with major in Accounting
• CPA required
• Advanced skill in MS Excel required
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in full cycle Accounting and financial statement preparation/analysis with stable work history
