LMI is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to support the Office of the AssistantSecretary of Defense forSustainment (OASD(Sustainment)) in its mission to assure compliance and governance to enable the delivery and sustainment of critical capabilities to U.S. Service Members and our allies. Responsibilities:- Conduct financial analysis of existing program costs.
- Provide financial expertise and guidance to support the Program Office including, expertise on working capital fund appropriations and applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide support for the development of cost baselines and guidance on the estimation of aircraft operating and support costs.
- Provide assessments on technical data, government data rights and industry assertions on data rights.
- Compute decision making metrics for comparisons of all alternatives such as net life cycle savings, net present value and payback period.
- Provide estimates and input to support the Program Office Memorandum (POM) cycle.
- Ensure financial transparency for the customer.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, finance, math, engineering, or a related discipline.
- Active DoD Secret Clearance.
- Previous work with the Department of Defense is a plus.
- Experience with the PPB&E process and working capital funds is desired.
- 10 years plus of experience.
- Relevant cost estimating certifications with ICEAA or AACE is desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Experience with ACEIT and Crystal Ball software is a plus.
- Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
- Ability to work problems and provide solutions to the client independently with minimal direction.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
