Identifies trends, discrepancies, andvariances to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. May partnerwith other departments, divisions, outside agencies, and vendors to addressbusiness issues. Exercises various latitudes of independent judgment. Mayadminister or provide high-level support for various projects, grants,contracts, implementation of procedures, and/or any specialized functions.Assists with orientation, training, or providing task guidance of junior teammembers. Provides strategic analysis.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform job responsibilities with minimal supervisionExtract primary data from Oracle Database with the use of SQLInterpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoingreportsProvide timely and accurate data to fulfill internal and external data requestsIdentify, compile, and ‘clean’ data for research projectsIdentify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsOversee evaluation and research projectsCommunicate the evaluation plan and its details to leadership and stakeholdersCollaborate with external research partners to ensure understanding of datapoints and data setsDevelop and monitor internal and external data requestsManage, summarize, and analyze quantitative and/or qualitative dataSummarize and explain research findings and their implicationsPrepare findings for publicationDevelop, review, and abstract published researchProduce data visualization dashboards with TableauMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or universityAND Two years in a related lead or supervisory role OR Associate's degree in arelated field from an accredited college or university AND Four years of relatedexperience, Two years of which in a related lead or supervisory role OR Twoyears of experience at the lower level IT Business Analyst or positionequivalent.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSStrong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objectsetc), databases (SQL, Oracle, etc), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETLframeworks)Significant experience in accessing and extracting data from organizationaland/or other institutional databasesStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, anddisseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail andaccuracy2+ years of relevant work experience in the Criminal Justice field and/or DataManagement/AnalysisProficient skills in queries, report writing, and presenting findingsExperience in data visualization software (i.e., Tableau)
