Senior Data Analyst
Location: Richmond, VA/ McLean, VA/ Hybrid
Duration: 6 months with possible extension

- Act as key data lead to leverage versatile technical capabilities to drive the development, evolution, and implementation of data products, which enable self-service by data consumers
- Re-engineer data processes and migrate the processes from on-premises to Amazon Web Services
- Explore industry trends, tools, and techniques in Open Source/Big Data/Digital domain
Business Intelligence...
- Execute and monitor data processes that deliver critical data to partners and regulators
- Develop prototypes and implement new business intelligence tools, solutions, and techniques
- Assist in development of standards and policies for business intelligence frameworks
Data Management...
- Evaluate data management, data quality and data access processes for gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities; provide recommendations for improvement
- Implement solutions and processes for management and governance across data quality metrics, metadata,
- lineage, data access rights, and business definitions
- Develop data mapping to enable data end users to more easily transition to using new systems
Ideal candidate will have:
- Degree specialized in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline
- Experience with Python, Pyspark, Snowflake SQL, Unix/Linux, Databricks and Github
- Experience with Amazon Web Services products, such as EC2, S3, Redshift, Quicksight and Snowflake
- Desire to learn about external companies (typically Fortune 500) that Client partners with for co-brand and private label programs
- Experience with BI tools such as Tableau/Thoughtspot/Quicksight
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor s Degree
- At least 1 year of experience in at least one scripting language with automation
- At least 1 year of experience in querying, analyzing, and working with data languages and platforms
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master s Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics discipline
- Previous Client experience
- Experience in domain knowledge focused on risk management/audit/ credit operational control space
- 1+ years of experience working within process management and improvement methodologies Lean, Six Sigma, etc)
- 1+ years of experience working with and demonstrating knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and data quality tools management concepts and data quality tools
- 1+ years of experience with hands on Python/SQL coding in Databricks along with automation scripting skills.
