We are looking for a talented and innovative Senior Data Scientist to join our AI and Machine Learning team. This individual will support the development of AI solutions, create and deploy machine learning models, focusing on Generative AI and NLP technologies. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate Senior Data Scientist to work on projects that deliver real business value to our clients, including federal agencies and commercial sectors.
Responsibilities:
- MLOps & Automation: Support the Director in developing and maintaining MLOps processes, building automation pipelines, and deploying machine learning models using tools like AWS SageMaker and Docker.
- AI Model Development: Develop, train, and test various machine learning and deep learning models using Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, and large language models (LLMs) to generate impactful natural language outputs.
- Data Analysis & Visualization: Conduct complex data analysis using Python and SQL. Utilize data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau) to present findings in an accessible manner, supporting business decisions and strategic initiatives.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Director, team members, and clients to identify project requirements, design solutions, and ensure high-quality, on-time delivery of data science projects.
- Data Pipelines & Transformation: Assist in building and optimizing data pipelines for automation, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for model training and analysis.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for machine learning models, data workflows, and model deployment processes to support ongoing operations and future development.
- AI & ML Innovation: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies, recommending new tools, techniques, and best practices to enhance the team's capabilities.
- Agile Participation: Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, unit testing, retrospectives, and story estimation to ensure continuous improvement and effective project management.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Data Science (or equivalent) and a Bachelor's in Computer Engineering.
- Technical Expertise: Four years of experience in data management. Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, PyTorch, and TensorFlow. Proficiency in deploying models using AWS SageMaker, Docker, and working with LLMs for generative AI applications. AWS certified developer.
- Data Visualization: Tableau Certified Data Analyst with proven experience in creating insightful visualizations and data reports.
- MLOps Experience: Demonstrated experience in building and managing MLOps pipelines, automation, and deployment processes.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Passionate about solving real-world problems using cutting-edge AI/ML techniques, with a proactive approach to developing innovative solutions.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent team player with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders, translating technical insights into actionable business strategies.
- Agile Mindset: Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including participation in sprint planning and unit testing, to support iterative development and delivery.
- Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Remote Work: The position is hybrid with some McLean, VA office requirements
