Simply Dental Management is looking for Senior Dental Billing Analyst who is a Subject Matter Expert. This position requires extensive expertise in all things related to dental billing. The Senior Billing Analyst will be in our Resource Office or at one of our practices every day. This is not a remote position.
The Senior Dental Billing Analyst is responsible for educating and training dental office staff and billing teams on accurate and efficient billing practices. This role focuses on the nuances of dental billing, including insurance claims processing, coding, and regulatory compliance. You will play an essential role in developing and delivering training programs, both in-person and online, to ensure that staff members are proficient in billing software, coding (such as CDT), and the latest industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive training programs on dental billing practices, insurance claims processing, and coding standards.
- Train dental office staff on billing software, CDT codes, claim submissions, and reconciliation of accounts.
- Ensure that billing teams understand compliance regulations, HIPAA standards, and best practices for minimizing claim denials.
- Conduct one-on-one or group training sessions, both in person and through virtual platforms.
- Stay updated on changes in dental billing, insurance policies, and regulatory requirements, and incorporate these into training materials.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training sessions through feedback, assessments, and ongoing staff performance reviews.
- Provide continuous support and troubleshooting to billing staff to help resolve complex billing or claims issues.
- Create and maintain training manuals, video tutorials, and other instructional materials.
- Collaborate with management to identify billing errors, process improvements, and training needs.
- Conduct follow-up sessions to ensure staff retention and application of billing skills.
Qualifications:
- Extensive experience in dental billing and coding (minimum of 3-5 years).
- Proficiency in dental billing software (such as Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft).
- In-depth knowledge of CDT codes, dental insurance claim processes, and HIPAA regulations.
- Experience in developing and delivering training programs.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain complex billing processes in a clear, understandable manner.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Certification in dental billing or coding (preferred but not required).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working in a dental office setting is required.
- Familiarity with e-claims and electronic billing systems.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines while providing hands-on training.
