Senior Design Engineer

Hours: Monday - Friday 
Pay Rate:   $70,000 - $90,000 depending on experience
Location: Dayton Ohio 
Experience:  6+ years in Composites/related Manufacturing field

Job Responsibilities:

• Must have strong tooling design and surfacing experience with CATIA V5 software and be able to perform advanced mechanical engineering calculations to ensure overall project design requirements are met
• Must be proficient in GD&T in accordance with ASME Y14.5 2009
• Will lead design reviews with customers, suppliers, and/or other departments to ensure sound designs and drawing accuracy, including visits as necessary to customers and suppliers
• Responsible to communicate directly with the customer on technical issues to get resolution of unknowns and required approvals
• Must be able to multi-task and assume responsibility for several projects at one time in differing levels of completion
• Highly desired to have experience with composites and resin injection processes. 
• Will take a lead role in solving technical tooling problems throughout the project with assistance from Project Manager and Management
• May manage large technical projects that require a number of supporting engineers and/or design firms
• Will help to develop engineering standards and methods that create an environment where quality products are consistently developed and executed
• Will prepare and present engineering change documentation to the project manager to get sign-off by the customer and/or directly to the customer on development and smaller projects

Skills Required:

• Negative drug screen and favorable background check (Note: we are a smoke free facility)
• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering and six to eight years of related experience using 3D CAD software
• 3 Year minimum CATIA V5 Experience
• Experience with email and calendar software (i.e. Outlook) and Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Project
• Travel: 2% - 15%
