Job DescriptionDevelop program requirements, scope layout plans, estimates and schedules for the design and construction of executive offices, and common areas of AbbVie buildings. Provide design and layouts as required for architectural and furniture designs for projects of all sizes.
- Responsible for implementing and maintaining interior design standards content and documentation. Ensure that drawings and CADD files are accurate, up to date, and conform to AbbVie standards.
- Responsible for the successful completion of projects within the budget parameters including scope, schedule and cost with the assurance that all functional, code, client and good engineering/design practice requirements are met.
- Support brand quality by reviewing, approving and consulting with architectural firm design development and execution meets brand standards for function, performance and style direction/design.
- Ensure ergonomic design of workspaces to support employee health/wellness. Ensure workspace design includes proper lighting and soundproofing as required.
- Ensure timely submittals and Interior Design review responsiveness by developing and managing communications. Direct and monitor the site engineer’s effort and progress to meet project schedule.
- Manages well-organized standard product specification cataloging, documentation and sample inventories. Manages and supports objective-based product pilot specification testing programs.
- Maintains competitive advantage through effective research and awareness of consumer, industry and supplier trends.
- Analyze, adjust, and approve invoices prior to distribution to the engineer and contract administrators for payment. Effectively coordinate internal and external engineering resources throughout the entire process of design and construction. Establish clearly defined roles and responsibilities and communicate clear project objectives.
- Develop external engineering resources. Identify needs for contractors. Develop partnership relationships with contractors/vendors. Routinely have direct contacts with outside consultants, technical counterparts from key vendors. Specify equipment, materials, and supplies required for the completion and implementation of the projects. Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
- Work directly with Divisional clients and or facility planners in the programming of their office needs, providing clear documentation of such through a scope document, detailed costs estimate and milestone schedule. Provide creative and cost conscious solutions to meet their need. Deliver high degree of customer satisfaction in what is a typically highly sensitive and often personal environment.
- A minimum 10 years of Interior Design /Architectural experience is required preferably in the office environment.
- A minimum of 4-6 years project management experience.
- A high degree of knowledge with regards to furniture systems as well as solid understanding of facilities and building systems.
- B.A. in Architecture, BA Interior Design or equivalent experience. This level of education is required to properly address the technical and life safety issues that are prevalent in the office world as well as the project management skills necessary to effectively execute projects.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is eligible to participate in our short-term incentive programs.
