Sr. Desktop Support Engineer – Investment Management – Boston, MA

Daley and Associates is are seeking a Senior Desktop Support Engineer to provide advanced technical support in within predominantly Windows-based environment. This role requires diagnosing complex issues, implementing solutions, and collaborating with IT teams to ensure system efficiency. This Engineer will act as an escalation point for any tier 3 technical issues. This is a hybrid role 3 days a week on site.

This role will pay up to $115,000.00.

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated hardware, software, and network issues, with an emphasis on Windows systems.
• Deliver remote and on-site support for desktop systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
• Act as the highest-level support for complex technical challenges that go beyond Tier 1 and Tier 2 capabilities.
• Manage desktop configurations, including updates, patches, and security settings.
• Collaborate with network and system teams to address and resolve cross-functional IT issues.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including knowledge base articles and troubleshooting guides.
• Mentor and train Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams, providing guidance on advanced technical issues.
• Conduct detailed analysis of recurring problems and recommend long-term solutions.
• Lead or contribute to small IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, and technology rollouts.

• 5+ years in a Desktop, help desk, or technical support service roles preferably within a financial services environment  
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
• Preferred certifications: Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, CompTIA A+, Network+
• Advanced expertise with Windows OS (10/11)
• Experience working with Office 365, Active Directory, and Group Policy management
• Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
• Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly PowerShell (preferred)
