Job Details
As the Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development of our cloud and on-prem infrastructure. You will own pipelines delivering quality updates and operational tasking windows to our growing fleet of satellites; the pipelines process out-of-this-world data and enable the engineering team to develop solutions for communication with billions of ground-end devices. You will be a key leader to our expanding team.
This is an on-site, full-time position.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
10+ years of directly relevant experience
Expert level in the abbreviation soup of AWS products
Expert in Terraform and GitHub Actions
Ability to design for scale and resilience while knowing when to keep it simple
Extensive and recent practical hands-on experience with Python and Go
At least PostgreSQL and ideally some NoSQL experience
You should know how to combine CI tools with on-prep hardware in the loop test setups. It is critical for us that anything we send to our growing constellation goes through real hardware representations of the satellites located in our office. There is no SSH to a satellite flying at 7 km/sec.
