The Role:
As a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer, you will create efficient and sustainable development operations and technical operations processes that power a secure, performant, and reliable infrastructure for our product. You will employ a wide range of technical and interpersonal skills to lead projects and influence strategy, practices, and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement continuous integration and automated deployments
- Monitor, support, maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure
- Create and manage orchestration, configuration, and provisioning automation
- Meet the infrastructure needs of new products and features
- Implement information security standards and best practices
- Fulfill your role in the incident response process
- Ensure service level agreements are met
- Implement disaster recovery procedures
- Document knowledge, solutions, and processes
- Facilitate and participate in meetings and discussions on technical solution design
- Influence the outcomes of meetings and discussions on technical solution design
- Review and provide feedback on system and network architecture strategy and solutions
- Mentor and support other members of the team
- Participate in on-call rotation
Requirements
- 5+ years of DevOps experience
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- Expertise in building and supporting high availability, multi-account cloud environments in AWS
- Proficiency in a programming or scripting language (Python, Go, Bash, Ruby, PHP)
- Expertise with networking concepts and protocols
- Expertise in web, application and database server management and configuration
- Expertise with SQL and NoSQL database administration and optimization (Mysql)
- Expertise in Linux system administration and security best practices
- Expertise with containers and container orchestration (Docker, K8s, ECS)
- Expertise with build and deployment automation tools (Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline)
- Expertise with configuration management tools (Cloudformation, Terraform, CDK)
- Expertise with source control management systems (git/GitHub)
- Available for scheduled on-call hours
Pluses
- Experience working in an agile environment
- Experience building and supporting mobile app dev pipelines
- Splunk logs and Splunk APM
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence or similar tools
- AWS certifications
