The Role
ITHAKA is seeking a tech savvy and teamwork-oriented higher education professional to be our Senior Digital Collections Success Manager. As Senior Digital Collections Outreach Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of ITHAKA's new and growing services which support access and preservation of digital collections.
Responsibilities
As Senior Digital Collections Success Manager you will be an internal and external subject matter expert for ITHAKA's infrastructure services, which supports digital collections management. You will report to the Lead Manager for Infrastructure Services Outreach, and collaborate closely with the Outreach team to grow participation and retain existing participants for the products you support. You will act as training lead for your assigned services to increase product knowledge on the outreach team.
- In close collaboration with Outreach Account Managers, engage directly with librarians, archivists, and other digital collections staff at prospect institutions to support adoption of ITHAKA's infrastructure services, which may include providing live demonstrations of tools and services.
- Support successful trials of ITHAKA's infrastructure services offerings by leading trial kickoff calls and checking in with trialing institutions during the trial period.
- Deliver proactive outreach to existing participants, focusing on those identified as potential retention risks.
- Provide post-sales support, including specialized onboarding to group participants, such as consortia, and training for new staff at existing institutions.
- Collaborate with Marketing on existing participant communication.
- Act as a product trainer for the Outreach team by maintaining internal training materials on tool functionality and value proposition, leading internal training sessions, and helping the outreach team understand the competitive landscape and market for infrastructure services offerings.
- Support outreach campaign efforts by working with the Lead Manager for Infrastructure Services Outreach in developing campaigns, joining customer meetings where necessary, and reviewing campaign pipeline.
- Develop and maintain strong engagement within the archival and special collections community by establishing a network of relationships with members of the field, to stay abreast of important trends and best practices in digital special collections.
- Ability to travel required, with expected travel ranging from 20-30%.
Experience and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in higher education or libraries, either at an academic institution or vendor.
- Demonstrated expertise in special collections, archives, or digital collections.
- Highly organized with strong multitasking skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive self-starter with the ability to identify tasks and independently take initiative to move projects forward.
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills, including the ability to effectively demonstrate tools and services via webinar and in person workshops.
- Ability to work well as a team member; a willingness to actively participate in team projects and share ideas.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.

- Comfortable working with data (via tools such as Tableau) to extract learnings, make decisions, and demonstrate evidence.
- Familiarity working with the standard Microsoft office suite (including intermediate Excel skills) and working in a CRM (such as Salesforce).
Compensation & Benefits
At ITHAKA we believe in openness and equity. Part of living those values is our commitment to clarity about salary ranges, so candidates know what to expect. The starting salary for this position ranges from $89,00 to $112,000 per year. Starting pay may vary with job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Our total compensation package for benefits-eligible employees includes employer-paid medical, dental, and vision plans, an employer-paid 10% retirement contribution, paid parental and caregiver leave, 22 days of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, up to 12 sick days, gym reimbursement, and more. #JS-1 #LI-1
