Senior Digital Transformation Analyst - Saint-Gobain

About the Job
The objective of the Digital Transformation department is to leverage digital technology and tools to accelerate the empowerment of our finance teams to become the best in class. Accelerating the adoption of digital tools will help finance teams simplify reporting processes, allow them to leverage the vast quantities of data, but also give them the ability to more effectively structure data to see the big picture and target areas that will drive business performance.
In this role you will be a pivotal participant in identifying opportunities that will leverage technology to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and unlock new levels of value within the finance function.- This position combines financial expertise with a deep understanding of technology and business processes.- A successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency, optimize resource allocation, and support strategic decision-making.-
The Digital Transformation team is taking a larger role in Governance, partnering with IT to develop best in class processes around Data Governance for BI tools (QlikView, Power BI, GL Wands).- This position will take a leading role in this initiative and manage the partnership with the IT data analytic team and the wider finance community through the BI Governance Council.- For success in this the incumbent will need to have a strong knowledge of the BI tools used and become a subject matter expert to help others understand and to help design and execute cross BU reporting.
Responsibilities include:
+ Partner with business stakeholders to assess current finance processes and identify areas for improvement.
+ Research and evaluate emerging technologies (e.g. Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cloud Computing) and assess their potential application within finance.
+ Support the implementation of new technologies and processes, ensuring smooth transitions and user adoption.
+ Lead the initiative to enhance documentation and roll out new training on existing tools to help upscale the digital skills of the finance team in North America.
+ Develop training programs to educate finance staff on new processes and technologies.
+ Collaborate with different departments within the organization to ensure smooth integration of digital technologies.-
+ Assist in the development of the Digital Transformation Analyst.
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent, complementary work experience.
+ 3-5 years working in a professional finance environment with experience in building and supporting BI reporting, with a concentration on Power BI.
+ Strong aptitude to deliver effective desktop reporting (paperless web-enabled environment), utilize GL Wands, MS Excel, PowerPoint, QlikView and Power BI for analysis and presentations. SAP ERP knowledge is a plus.
+ A passion for technology and a willingness to learn new skills. Experience with RPG, AI, and other emerging technologies in finance is a plus.
+ This position requires someone who exercises strong judgment and is able to work independently, while also establishing and leveraging relationships with management and peers. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
