PrismHR has an exciting opportunity for an appropriately experienced Director of Infrastructure and Cloud Operations, to provide both strategic and tactical leadership, project direction, management oversight, and with significant hands-on contribution and mentoring to a growing, global team of multi-disciplined infrastructure engineers charged with keeping PrismHR’s production, customer facing and internal environments well monitored, secure, performant and stable.

This is a senior technical leadership position reporting to our EVP of Product Delivery, expected to collaborate with product development, product / program management, quality assurance, security and stakeholder functions across PrismHR that have touchpoints to our product delivery engine.
Responsibilities
- Functional responsibility for PrismHR’s core payroll, benefits and HR application hosted production environments, to a scale of 1000 virtualized servers and containers, across multiple 3rd party cloud providers and data centers, and consisting of widely varied modern, mainstream, legacy and niche technologies.
- Strategic and tactical leadership, with strong project management rigor and an agile mindset. An operational and execution-based bias is key, as is an emphasis on customer service for both external and internal constituents.
- Partner with software architecture and development to create and drive cloud technology strategy, with an emphasis on delivering transformational change within an agile model to drive IT Infrastructure and Cloud Operations objectives.
- Attract, motivate and develop best-in-class talent. Mentor and train constantly and eliminate single points of failure. Develop the next generation of team leadership.
- Ensure reliability and scalability of all customer-facing infrastructure; partner with the security team to ensure all systems and hosted applications meet security standards and criteria.
- Actively support and where appropriate drive the modernization and /or obsolescence of legacy systems.
- Create and monitor relevant KPIs to gauge the health of systems, processes and projects.
- Drive system & technology consolidation and keep footprint manageable and cost-effective
- Utilize expertise in evaluating and identifying appropriate technology platforms for delivering the company's products
- Manage technology vendors, data center providers, and outsourcing agencies to ensure the efficient running of our cloud hosted applications.
- A minimum of 15 years of progressive leadership in information strategy, architecture, technology, and systems, with direct hands-on experience building, monitoring and supporting hosted applications in a software product development environment.
- Experience leading multi-disciplined, production / cloud hosting operations to scale, and infrastructure teams of 30 professionals, in a multi-cloud, multiple application company, across dozens of parallel infrastructure and software development supporting initiatives and projects.
- Experience managing and supporting infrastructure components - Server, Storage, Network, security, end points, collaboration, Cloud / SaaS.
- Prior success having led migrations of complex hosted application infrastructure and systems to the public cloud (Microsoft Azure preferred).
- Significant experience supporting legacy systems and modernization initiatives across multiple cloud and data center providers.
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships with peers, leaders, customers and other senior management within and outside organization
- Significant project management and agile experience; commitment oriented.
- Excellent verbal and communication skills; outstanding analytical and time-management skills; fosters a spirit of collaboration and teamwork.
- SOC2 or comparable security compliance program experience; NIST highly preferred.
- *Must be able to work Eastern time zone hours. *
- Deep knowledge with Linux Servers, Windows Servers, Databases, and Networking, storage and networking infrastructure
- Deep experience with AWS and cloud architectures/services; good hands-on knowledge on AWS Services like EC2, VPC, S3, ELB, RDS, Route53, WorkSpaces,
- CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and more (or comparable Azure experience).
- Experience in working with infrastructure provisioning tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Chef, Puppet, or a healthy appetite to learn.
- Should be fluent with modern Devops concepts.
- Good experience on container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes , ECS etc to containerize infrastructure.
- Exceptional knowledge of VMware virtual systems and cloud infrastructure, in a managed service
- Strong scripting experience; experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
- Industry certifications are strongly desired: Red Hat (RHCSA/RHCE), Windows (MCSA / MCSE), and/or Network (CCNA, CCNA Security)
PrismHR is a fast-paced SaaS company which provides customers with a cloud-based payroll process software application. PrismHR also provides professional services including system implementation consulting, custom configurations, and training.
