Midas Hospitality is hiring a Senior Director of Development. This person will manage all aspects of the development process including acquisition, feasibility, financing, zoning/entitlements, design, permitting, construction, leasing and disposition. The Senior Director of Development will perform hands-on management of project-planning, design, procurement, scheduling, budget management and project execution in a fast-paced environment. They will prioritize multiple tasks and demands as well as assist in the supervision of a skilled team of Directors of Development, Development Managers and other members of the Development team.
What You Will Be Doing:
Coordinate and oversee the engagement and ongoing coordination of third-party consultants which may include architects, contractors (GC's), mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil engineers, landscape architects, surveyors, geotechnical and/or environmental consultants.
Perform duties consistent with an "Owners Representative" as that term is understood in the real estate development industry.
Developandmanage approved project budget(s) and schedule(s).
Assist with the development of financial projections for individual projects.
Coordinate and manage the predevelopment process including conceptual design, construction pricing, and entitlements.
Assist with the process of securing and coordinating hospitality brand franchises.
Assist and support efforts to secure project financing including various financial incentives.
Coordinate and manage the construction process of assigned projects.
Trackstatusofeachprojectagainstbudgets,timelines andgoalsandprovidereportsonthestatusofeach
Trackvendorcontractsandchange
Overseetheconstructioncontractor'sfieldoperations,including managing and coordinatingownerinspections and punch lists.
Conductinspectionsandmonitorbuildingconstructionprogresstoensuretheworkcomplieswith
Leadtheprojectfromanownershipperspectivetoensuretimelycompletionofall projects.
Assist with the supervision of members of the Development Team including Directors of Development, Development managers, and others from time to time.
The Ideal Candidate:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience of at least 10 years.
Experience in hospitality development preferred.
High-level comprehension of plans and specifications
Advanced skills with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and MS Project
Ability to maintain Project Tracking software
Strong organizational and analytical ability
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
