The Senior Director of Enrollment Systems (Slate) is responsible for overseeing the management and maximum utilization of our platform capabilities for various users and departments that focus on driving enrollment to the University. The position will provide forward thinking leadership and collaborate on system needs with campus partners: University Communications, Information Services, Graduate Admission, International Admission, Financial Aid, Athletics, and Student Development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Improves and streamlines processes for a superior student experience and will use their expertise to suggest changes to the software that support enrollment goals. Implements, enhances, and improves the functionality of the SLATE instance and supports all interactions and communications
- Partners other campus areas to identify data needs; oversee development of queries, reports, dashboards, and other data visualizations to be used in planning and analysis, application review, marketing, and experimentation, as well as regular processing, retrieval, and auditing
- Transitions from Slate Legacy tools to current best practices for Technolutions, Slate and assists in leading and supporting stakeholders to the new tools
- Manages creation/usage of data collection forms annually, across all phases of recruitment and all admission constituencies; ensure consistent data collection and best practices in form logic and mapping; ensure consistent branding and maximize user experience via form layout and logic
- Builds, tests, and maintain forms, event templates, portals, applications, workflows, essential data elements, and system/feature updates throughout the year.
- Reviews modules, practices, and documentation, to ensure consistent performance and maximum efficiency; manage ongoing data auditing and cleanup; develop procedures for identifying and solving data issues
- Develops and delivers training to ensure consistent data use practices and maximum use of Slate capabilities.
- Writes, develops, refines, and produces data analytic reports of both admission and financial aid data that is housed within the CRM.
- Develops campus-wide best practices, metrics and reporting goals for various recruitment and enrollment functions within Slate CRM system to enhance and create new opportunities for personal, relational recruitment efforts
- Identifies, codes, and recommends solutions (mass, isolated and direct approaches) to enhance engagement with target populations and segments (legacy, major-specific, extra-curricular, affinity groups, etc.).
- Assists with business process analyses to identify and correct data vulnerabilities within the Slate CRM system to maintain the integrity of prospect, inquiry and applicant data needed for effectivecommunication, reporting, and recruitment.
- Keeps up to date with knowledge of HTML, CSS, XML, Relational Databases and common statistical reporting functions.
- Maintains security, educate staff on user permissions, and help with integrity of user privileges/permissions
- Serves as a member of the enrollment leadership/management team
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree preferred.
- 3 or more years of experience with a CRM or similar platform, preferably Technolutions Slate
- Must clear and maintain a favorable background investigation and clearance
- Must be able to travel and work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must have valid driver's license, motor vehicle liability insurance and personal injury insurance; or have a self-reliant source of transportation to conduct business on a daily basis.
- Must have the ability to demonstrate intermediate to advanced skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint). experience with virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom.
- Advanced skills and experience using Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software, (Technolutions, Slate) and Ellucian-Banner (Student Information Management System) software or similar if preferable.
- Must have a high ethical standard and a strong sense of confidentiality; ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines; thrive in a complex work environment; displays solid problem solving and interpersonal skills; works well independently and as part of a team.
- Must have ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail and be able to organize workflow, coordinate activities, balance simultaneous projects without loss of efficiency in a multi-tasked environment, and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong public relations and customer service skills with an ability to implement diplomacy and discretion at all times; ability to work effectively with communities across the university.
- Exhibit initiative, imagination, and organizational abilities to effectively promote and manage the development of new student and family initiatives.
- Understanding academic advising, financial aid and student development and knowledge of the St. Mary's culture and ability to represent and communicate the university mission to prospective students and families is preferred.
- Display a strong commitment to the mission of the institution and ability to articulate the value of a Marianist, Catholic education.
- Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish with the ability to understand and to make one's self understood to Spanish speaking individuals)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Working conditions are in an office environment and university campus setting. Must be able to move across the university campus to conduct day to day business.
- While performing this role, the employee will be regularly required to sit, walk, and stand; talk and hear, both in person and by telephone; and use hands repetitively to operate standard office equipment; and occasionally required to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Frequently communicates with others using approved technological resources; must be able to exchange accurate information through designated systems within a timely manner.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery.
