The Role
The Senior Director of Finance will be responsible for directing financial planning and analysis (FP&A) across Inspira's core operations. This role will drive strategic budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, while also contributing to M&A due diligence, particularly in assessing recurring revenue streams within staffing and education industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership and experience with recurring revenue models in high-growth industries. This role can be located anywhere in the United States or Canada.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
- Manage financial reporting to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with internal and external requirements
- Oversee cash flow management, financial statements, and performance metrics, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Work closely with upper management to provide financial insights and recommendations to support operational growth and efficiency, identifying trends to make suggestions for financial optimization
- Execute assessment of recurring revenue models, identifying trends to make recommendations for financial optimization
- Play an active role in M&A, conducting financial due diligence and supporting the integration of acquired entities
- Conduct recurring revenue analysis during M&A due diligence
- Provide strategic financial guidance, identifying risks and opportunities for growth through acquisitions
- Coordinate and mentor a finance team, fostering continuous improvement and excellence in financial management practices
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field (MBA or CPA preferred)
- 8+ years of experience in FP&A or financial management roles, with involvement in M&A processes
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and recurring revenue research
- Demonstrated aptitude in leading complex financial analysis and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence executive decisions
- Advanced proficiency in financial software, ERP systems, and Excel
