As Senior Director, Partnerships & Alliances you play a pivotal role in fostering and managing strategic partnerships and alliances with key stakeholders within the 3PL ecosystem. You will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and maintaining partnerships that drive business growth and enhance service offerings. This role requires strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, as well as a deep understanding of logistics and supply chain dynamics.

What you'll do on a typical day:
- Partnership Strategy: Develops and provide strategy, vision, and direction to execute a comprehensive partnership strategy aligned with the company's goals and growth objectives. Identify and prioritize potential partners and industry stakeholders.
- Business Development: Identify new business opportunities and areas for collaboration with partners to drive revenue growth. Collaborate with the sales team to leverage partnerships in lead generation and customer acquisition efforts.
- Market Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential partnership opportunities and address challenges proactively. Anticipates factors that could influence strategies and company position in the market.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for partnership agreements, collaborating with internal and external executive level management ensuring mutually beneficial terms that align with company objectives and legal requirements.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the product development, marketing, and customer success teams to align partnership activities with overall business objectives. Provide insights and feedback to influence product enhancements and improvements based on partner feedback.
- Internal Stakeholder Management: Manage internal communication and collaborate closely with cross functional stakeholders to ensure alignment in vision and execution of partnership go-to-market
- Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of partnership initiatives. Regularly analyze and report on the impact of partnerships on revenue and other strategic goals.
- Brand Ambassador: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote our brand and establish thought leadership within the retail and brand sector.
- GTM Alignment: Develop joint value propositions, sales playbooks, and partner programs to grow go-to-market partnership ecosystem
What you need to succeed at GXO:
At a minimum, you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or equivalent related work or military experience
- 7 years proven experience in similar roles preferably with a focus on B2B or sales relationships
- Proven experience in alliance management, business development, or strategic partnerships within the logistics or transportation industry.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence key stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid understanding of logistics and supply chain processes, including freight forwarding, warehousing, transportation management, and inventory management.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of driving results and managing cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software; familiarity with logistics software and technology platforms preferred.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with partners, attend industry events, and support business objectives.
- MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 10 Years proven experience in similar role preferably with a focus on B2B or sales relationships
- Background in Logistics
- Experience working in a supply chain industry
