PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
This position is responsible for driving the achievement of goals by providing strategic alignment with key stakeholders and tactical leadership driven by patient centered care. As part of this, the position functions as the leader of clinical services pertaining to major clinical initiatives, oversight of Medication Therapy Management efforts, presentation and publication process to illustrate the Clinical Services value propositions, and enhancing our partnership to achieve positive patient care outcomes. This role is responsible for delivering upon our Core Values by removing barriers and implementing solutions through an understanding of complex data and drawing strategic associations based on clinical evidence. The desired outcome is to provide new market development and growth opportunities that increase current binder penetration, capture new patient enrollments, maintain retention of existing ESRD and CKD enrollments, while expanding the long-term business strategy of FRx Pharmacy to all renal and specialty medications.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic leader with broad-based knowledge of the business and industry with an emphasis on providing the implementation process to support the Pharmacy’s value proposition and clinical efforts.
Collaborates in developing new business opportunities that contribute to the overall strategic plan which includes increased binder penetration and long-term initiatives associated with all renal medications on behalf of ESRD & CKD patients.
Leads efforts through subordinates to drive collaboration and bi—directional communication between FMCNA Director, and Clinical Pharmacy office. The goal is to operate as partners, remove barriers, and drive solutions to ensure the effective achievement of the Pharmacy business objectives including algorithms focused on evaluating and maintaining renal function, eCommerce initiatives and new channels to streamline patient enrollments, and presentation and publication efforts.
Develops clinical logic and algorithms to support clinical outreach programs for specific drug utilization groups.
Keeps abreast of industry issues and trends in order to strategically ensure that department practices and procedures reflect best standards.
Collaborates with FMCNA analysts and reporting experts to exchange data including laboratory values, adherence calculations, and other patient-specific data needed to perform clinical assessments on pharmacy patients.
Conducts outcome-centered research to discover the clinical and pharmacoeconomic impact of medication adherence.
Provides informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback in the annual performance evaluation process.
Manage the staffing through the appropriate hiring, firing, and disciplinary actions.
Provides clinical consultation on other projects and process development.
Accountable for outstanding clinical/customer service to all external and internal customers.
Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication.
Collaborates with data analysis team and company leadership to review strategy to drive process change and create solutions for all Pharmacy partners and customers.
Interacts with all levels of the organization to manage the business. Develops and fosters relationships with the Global Medical Office, Advanced Analytics Team, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Medical Advisory Board, Solutions team, Operations, Legal, and Compliance departments to implement initiatives for the Pharmacy.
Develops sound business relationships to be shared with nephrologist networks to facilitate objectives. This partnership is centered around sharing key clinical insights that may impact medication management and therapy use.
Provides leadership, guidance and coaching to all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce, partnering with Human Resources on employee relations issues.
Assists with various projects as assigned.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:
Minimum 5 years of clinical experience in management of pharmacy clinical services, preferably in dialysis services.
Strong communication skills
Extensive experience with clinical presentation, publications and research development preferred
Business development knowledge from evaluation through integration and implementation.
Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Clear Understanding of Process Improvement Methodologies and Tools
Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office applications and Windows operating systems.
