Senior Director, Product Marketing at GoGuardian

The GoGuardian marketing team is seeking an exceptional Senior Director, Product Marketing to shape and drive the overall product marketing strategy across our portfolio and lead centralized research for the company. This leader will play a pivotal role in driving product success and business growth. Key responsibilities include: conducting market analysis and research, defining product positioning and messaging, developing materials to support product education and sales enablement, and mentoring and leading a team of talented Product Marketing Managers and Researchers.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead the development and execution of comprehensive product marketing strategies that drive the success of our GoGuardian and Pear Deck Learning products and solutions across various market segments.
• Conduct advanced market research and analysis to identify evolving trends, discern intricate customer needs, and gain profound competitive insights. Utilize data-driven methodologies to refine product positioning and elevate marketing tactics to a strategic level.
• Identify the personas that make up our target audiences and ensure we stay current on their needs, challenges, and overall mindset.
• Define and articulate compelling product messaging and value propositions across products and personas, aligning marketing efforts with the company's overall vision and mission.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, sales enablement and content creators, to ensure seamless communication and alignment of product and marketing strategies.
• Develop and oversee go-to-market plans for new product launches and major updates, including pricing strategies, sales enablement materials, and integrated marketing campaigns.
• Drive the creation of high-impact marketing assets, such as one-pagers, product playbooks, product messaging frameworks, videos, to support sales enablement and marketing efforts.
• Build strong relationships with customers, industry influencers, and strategic partners, leveraging customer insights and success stories to enhance brand reputation and customer advocacy.
• Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and market data to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies, providing actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Mentor and lead a team of Product Marketing Managers and Researchers, providing guidance, professional development opportunities, and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
• Maintain a forward-looking perspective by staying at the forefront of industry trends, emerging technologies, and marketing best practices in education technology. Apply this knowledge strategically to drive innovation and maintain a competitive advantage in the market.

Who You Are:

• 10+ years of hands-on leadership of and management product marketing experience
• Ability to manage a diverse product portfolio, aligning each product with the overall company strategy
• Experience setting strategies, leading multiple initiatives, and executing to hit objectives in a fast-paced environment
• Customer-centric approach and desire to be a voice of our customers
• Anticipating future trends in education technology and adapting the product roadmap accordingly
• Marketing assets including on-message product demos and sheets
• Strong work ethic, combining bias toward action with innovative thinking
• Deep understanding of products, market trends and competitive landscape in the Education Industry
• Led research initiatives company-wide across quantitative and qualitative studies based on strategies and priorities. Analyze data and report key findings to stake holders.
• Analyzing market data, customer feedback, and product performance metrics to inform decision-making.
