This is a hybrid position on-site 3 days per week in Armonk, NY or Basking Ridge, NJ and 2 days from home. A fully remote role is not possible for this position.
The Senior Director, Transformation Program Management will play a vital role in the planning, execution and delivery of cross-functional and complex non-drug strategic and transformational initiatives for Global Development and other areas of Regeneron as requested. This role will collaborate closely with senior and executive leaders and stakeholders to drive the business transformation across the organization. The Senior Director Transformation Program Management communicates and collaborates with executive stakeholders and customers to ensure alignment and satisfaction. This role consults and negotiates with the Director Business Transformation Lead and Director Transformational Change & Engagement to translate business objectives into programs of work to be executed upon. This role requires a visionary leader with a strong background in program management, operational excellence and strategic planning.
In a typical day, you will:
- Build a strategic execution and delivery framework for the Transformation and Engagement organization
- Lead a team of project managers, program managers, project operations experts, and strategic facilitators.
- Drive the distribution, prioritization and volume of the teams work and oversee the teams planning, execution and delivery
- Ensure all program management, project management and facilitation tools, templates, processes and methodologies are industry best in class allowing for the consistent development and delivery of quality outcomes across the portfolio. Through research and innovation ensure these are maintained and matured overtime.
- Build agile program and project management approaches, supportive tools and processes, and upskill the team and organization
- In collaboration with the Business Transformation Lead, define the governance, flying formation, sequencing and coordination of all programs and projects in the portfolio
- Ensure robust project and program performance metrics, reporting and dashboards are in place to manage the portfolio of work and drive senior/ executive leader decision making
- Lead project and program Change Control ensuring that any changes to scope, resources, schedule across the portfolio are understood, sponsor/ leader endorsed and tracked
- Monitor project and program business value realization through benefits and value measurements
- Ensure PPM tools and processes are robust and allow for dependency mapping, sequencing, and resource utilization mapping
- Institute a formal process and approach for transformation program reviews. Ensure reviews are regularly and effectively conducted to drive delivery of programs to schedule, budget and agreed quality level
- In partnership with the Director Transformational Change and Engagement, evangelize and consult with leaders across the organization to create awareness for projects and programs.
- Drive the development of a Facilitation Center of Excellence for R&D that will support cross-functional leaders and stakeholders to drive strategy, solve complex and sensitive problems, build relationships, enable learning and sharing of ideas through experiences that leverage trust, unbiased objectivity and agility
- Drive the creation of an R&D Facilitation Community of Practice to share best practices, learn from each other and pressure test approaches and processes
- As a member of the Transformation and Engagement Leadership team, share ideas and improve operations, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements
- Actively participate in professional project and program management communities
To be considered, you must possess:
- Bachelors Degree and 15+ years of relevant project management industry experience managing large, complex programs
- PMP Certification, Six Sigma/ Lean
- Program Management Methodologies. Exceptional knowledge of program management methodologies to help structure, standardize and organize methods for the execution of programs. Optimizes processes to reach excellence in tools, approaches, controls
- Organizational Savvy and Political Acumen. Understand how wider objectives of the program align to business and strategic goals.
- Executive Stakeholder Management. Ability to work with a wide range of individuals at executive levels. Ability to analyze and reinvent to seek customer satisfaction. Anticipates customer needs with a goal of generating loyalty and lasting relationships
- Budget Acumen and Resource Allocation. Ability to manage budgets, optimize resource allocation, and tracking expenses. Understanding of financial principles and having the ability to interpret financial data
- Integration Management. Dot connecting, integrating, proactive identification and management of roadblocks. Is proactive in monitoring the internal and external environment during the execution of strategies, being capable of assessing risks, their impacts in conjunction with stakeholders involved and of making recommendations to Top Management
- Advanced Critical Thinking. Extensively determines the relevance and reliability of information that might be used to support a conclusion of argument. Accurately interprets information to determine meaning and to extract relevant evidence. Accurately connects or integrates information to support an argument or reach a conclusion. Makes claims and provide complete evidence to support it
- Advanced Problem Solving. Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make informed decisions based on data-driven insights. Able to identify areas of improvement, diagnose issues, and develop effective solutions to complex problems.
