Due to company growth, we are actively seeking a Senior Distribution Design Engineer to join our team in Pleasanton, California.

• Provide QA/QC process for the distribution design team
• Execute the QA/QC processes and procedures to ensure safety is number one priority
• Strong knowledge and understanding of electrical power distribution design in overhead and underground utility
• Reviews and/or prepares engineering-quality drawings suitable for construction
• Perform site visits to inspect measure and verify designs
• Assist with the design and work process between the customer, contractors, utilities, and others involved in the process
• Review quality and accuracy of field notes and designs and work with Engineers, Field Engineering Representatives, construction supervisors, and field employees to resolve issues identified

• Associates Degree in engineering technology or drafting is preferred
• 5+ years of experience in the utility industry
• 2+ years of Distribution power lines and equipment (2AA, 07D and B Tags)
• Pole Replacement, System Hardening, OH Head and UG Design
• Proficient with AutoCAD or MicroStation
• Experience using O-Calc or Pole Foreman
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft Office products such as Outlook Word and Excel
• Must be able to report to the Pleasanton office on a daily basis
