Job Details
SUMMARY: As our Senior Electrical Engineer you will be a technical lead for designers and drafters. You will work directly with customers to answer any questions and conduct research for codes as required.
MUST HAVES:
- Sizing Generators, Lighting Design, Power Distribution Layouts, Sizing Switch Boards
- Revit, Autocad
- Building Systems Design
NICE TO HAVE:
- SKM Power Tools
- PE Registration.
- Experience in Federal/Municipal Government, Healthcare, or Aviation projects.
- LEED AP certification (preferred but not required).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead the design effort on both large and small projects.
- Manage design schedules and oversee design team members.
- Collaborate directly with Architects and Owners.
- Conduct preliminary evaluations of projects.
- Prepare various reports and meeting minutes.
- Produce design documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Travel for projects both nationally and internationally as required.
- Conduct design reviews to ensure adherence to applicable codes, company standards, and project requirements.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 7+ years of experience in Electrical Design, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, grounding, and coordination/arc flash studies.
- Extensive knowledge of the National Electrical Code.
- Strong knowledge of Building Codes, applicable NFPA Codes, and Energy Codes.
- Proficiency in REVIT and AutoCAD.
