Senior Electrical Engineer:
Novel Engineering is searching for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our client’s fast-paced agile product development team here in Melbourne, FL. The candidate will be responsible for research, design, development, and integration testing of circuit designs, as well as mentoring junior engineers as needed. He or she will analyze system requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints. The candidate may be required to consult with software engineers, mechanical engineers, and other engineering staff to evaluate interfaces between mechanical and software and to validate operational performance requirements of the overall systems.

Candidates MUST be a citizen of the United States.
Candidates MUST be located within commuting distance of Melbourne, FL.
Basic “Must Have” Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of design experience.
- Design digital and analog circuits, including schematic capture.
- Lab circuit debug experience on mixed signal designs.
- Design reviews, specifications, and estimates.
- Create and update documentation for designs, BOM management, projects, testing, etc.
- Microprocessor and Signal Processing system design experience.
- Experience with wireless communication protocols, such as Bluetooth and WIFI.
- Able to work in a small team environment and have good communications skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years of FPGA design experience on Xilinx and Intel (Altera) Development Tools.
- 5 years of experience with Altium Design tools.
- 10 years of experience with PCB layout, high-speed signals, including analog, digital, and power.
- RF design experience is a plus.
- Comfortable integrating, testing, and debugging the hardware that you design in a lab environment.
- Extensive experience with wired communication standards such as UART, I2C, SPI, USB, I2S, CAN etc.
- Familiarity with Digital Signal Processing concepts and applications
- Proficient using issue task tracking tools such as JIRA.
- Proof of strong problem-solving capability and people skills, and the ability to conduct presentations for management, technical experts, and customers.
