About the Job
AE Works is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team. Individuals who are qualified for this position shall possess the ability to work directly with clients and lead the discussion during presentations, project meetings, shall have excellent communication (oral and written) and analytical/problem skills, and lead and work within a multi-discipline team setting.
This position is based out of our Arlington, VA, office with occassional travel to project/client sites and other firm office locations. Role and Responsibilities for Position:
- Lead the design and construction administration of power, lighting, and telecommunication systems for building projects, both new construction and renovation, within various market segments.
- Lead clients and internal design team, including architects and engineers, through the planning and design for the mechanical systems for building projects, both new construction and renovation.
- Produce high quality deliverables for Clients at all stages of design.
- Serve as a primary contact with client and consultants for electrical engineering design on projects, and as the project lead for electrical-focused design projects.
- Champion engineering design relevance within the firm through mentorship and training.
- Attend interviews for new work opportunities.
Our top applicants will possess the following technical background:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architectural Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- PE registration in VA, MD, DC, PA or other reciprocal state
- 8+ years of related mechanical exprience for building projects
- Demonstrated familiarity with Revit
- Experience in design of healthcare, senior care, higher education, commercial, public safety, and/or government projects
- Strong communication and listening skills
- Ability to handle multiple assignments
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our culture is a must
- Skilled with using cloud based and mobile technology for collaboration
