As a Senior Electrical Engineer in the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Office of CO+I, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing new products and solutions that improve the performance, efficiency, and reliability of Microsoft's data centers
You will work with a cross-functional team of engineers, researchers, and business partners to identify customer needs, generate innovative ideas, and deliver high-quality solutions
You will also collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure alignment with Microsoft's standards and specifications.Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 100 Datacenters and 1 million servers
Our foundation is built upon and managed by a team of subject matter experts working to support services for more than 1 billion customers and 20 million businesses in over 90 countries worldwide

Other Requirements:Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role
These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in electrical engineering.Experience with cross-disciplined systems design ( IT/Telecom, building controls, supervisory control and data acquisition). Experience with Data center thermal systems design, analysis, and optimization of cooling systems for data center environments, hydronics, cooling distribution, liquid to liquid and liquid to air heat exchangers. Data Center Electrical Systems design, energy back-up and uninterrupted power supply, medium voltage switch gear, low voltage power distribution Electrical Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S
is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year
There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation
