The Electrical Engineer, Senior shall provide and implement design solutions that meet the requirements of the project.

Responsibilities

• Design the electrical plans, specifications and construction details for customer projects including lighting, receptacles, branch power, electrical riser diaphragms, panel board schedules and low voltage systems
• Utilize software to create documentation including diagrams, flowcharts, and formulas
• Engineer designs from initial concept through final construction documents
• Coordination with project team, customers, consultants and general contractors to navigate design challenges and generate effective solutions
• Project execution with a multi-discipline design and engineering team
• Ensure compliance with government regulations, industry standards, company policy and customer specifications
• Manage construction administration responsibilities including review of submittal and shop drawings, RFI responses, conducting site visits and production of field reports
• Maintain, establish, and promote technical standards
• Provide construction oversight and support
• May be required to perform work on customer sites where they will be required to wear PPE to protect from accidental exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes or airborne particles, and high noise levels
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience working with owners, architects and contractors in the design of lighting, receptacles, branch circuits, electrical riser diaphragms, panel board schedules and low voltage systems for commercial or government facilities
• Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Ability to obtain Professional Engineer (PE) License within 12 months of hire
• Experience utilizing Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit software
• Posses Strong written and verbal communication skills
• MEP (Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing) experience Preferred
• AE (Architect Engineer) experience Preferred
• AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) experience Preferred 
• Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
• Knowledge to design facility electrical systems
• Knowledge of building regulatory and safety codes for electrical systems
• Knowledge of local and national codes and the ability to interpret and resolve questions
• Ability to travel up to 20%, includes both domestic and international
